State secretary assesses biodiversity in Bicuar Park
Matala - The State secretary for Biodiversity and Conservation Areas of the Ministry of Environment, Paula Francisco Coelho, assessed Thursday, in the municipality of Matala, Huila province, the biodiversity of Bicuar National Park.

The visit of the secretary is part of the recovery program of ecotourism exploration projects to national parks, under the accelerated diversification plan of the economy program.
On the occasion, the provincial director of Agriculture and Rural Development, Fisheries and Environment, of Huila Lutero Campo, said the program came at a good time, as with public and private investments tourist units that the country has, can significantly contribute to the diversification of the economy and develop the country.
The official said that the provincial government is working on a package that will allow exploring ecotourism in Bicuar National Park and other sites with similar capabilities, but it is necessary to make some more investments.
