According to a document from the Environment Ministry’s Press Office, which reached ANGOP on last Monday, the event is aimed at assessing the current situation of the sable antelope and it is expected to discuss the emergency plan going on from March to June 2018 and the 2019 transition plan from July to December.

The meeting follows the presidential decree, which in January this year created an executive committee for the monitoring and reinforcement of the implementation of the conservation and protective measures on the sable antelope, a rare species that exists in Angola and which had almost disappeared from the national territory.
