Angola's Geodetic Center in need of investments

Camacupa - Angola's geodesic center -country's zero point - located in municipality of Camacupa, central Bié province, needs profitable tourism investment opportunity, said Thursday the provincial governor Pereira Alfredo.

The provincial governor, who was speaking to the press during his visit meant to assess the site, said the government, through the Camacupa administration, should work to improve the image of the site to attract more tourists.

Pereira Alfredo directed the modernisation of the area by placing protection networks, green spaces, among other services.

The geodesic center of Angola, which belongs to Catholic Church, was partially destroyed during the armed conflict in the country.

The infrastructure has benefited from facelift work, as well as restitution of a new Christ the King statue.
