SADC Forum catalyses empowerment
Luanda - The National Environment Director, Nascimento Soares, said on Monday in Luanda that the SADC Civil Society Organizations (CSO) Dialogue Forum is a catalyst for the empowerment and strengthening of non-state actors in the country.

Speaking at the opening of the event, representing Environment Minister Paula Francisco Coelho, he stressed, above all, the environmental CSOs, which respond to the challenges of identifying intervention areas, establishing regional and continental partnerships.
He considered it urgent and necessary to "close ranks" to find sustainable solutions to improve the living quality of people in the continent and in the SADC region in particular.
“CSOs plays an important role in consolidating countries' development processes as their actions are associated in a particular area of intervention and expertise, helping governments to realize their programs for the well-being of communities”, he said.
Issues of dry land management, combating ecosystem degradation, poverty, building resilience to climate change, access to water and sanitation, health, education, and food security are among the agenda of the national executive, in the materialization of PND 2018. -2022, in line with the objectives of Sustainable Development and the African Union Agenda 2063.
