Ecologic power generator wins talents contest
Luanda - The inventor Marcolino Kanganjo, from the central Huambo Province, last Monday in Luanda won the third edition of the Technologic Talents Contest, organised by the Infrasat firm, with a project turned to the production of ecologic power generators.

The winner of the competition took the prize after presenting a power generator which does not need fossil fuel or oil to function. Its ignition works through induction, which activates the electromagnetic field that feeds the accumulators.
With this victory, Marcolino Kanganjo was awarded 500,000 kwanzas, a car, a scholarship for the Higher Institute for Information and Communication Technologies (ISUTIC), a course in the Cefitel centre, free internet from Angola Telecom for six months and a job placement at an agency of the Angola Telecom company.
The second position was taken by Tiago Albino Muendo, an inventor from Luanda Province who presented a domestic mobile communication system, which also enables to control electronic apparatuses remotely through a mobile phone.
The third place prize went to Sílvio César da Gama and Geraldo Gama, who presented the project dubbed Remotus, which is a software for homes that can be used to warn people in a building or household about gas leak and the presence of an excess amount of Carbon monoxide, among other aspects.
On her turn, Gisela Inácio, from the Ministry of telecommunications and Information technologies explained that this contest comes to stimulate and value Angolan talents in the area of Information and Communication Technologies.
