UNDP runs "First Generation Innovation Contest Angola"

Luanda - A First Generation Innovation Contest Angola is being jointly run on Thursday in Luanda by the embassy of Sweden and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) to awaken creativity among university students.

According to a press note that reached Angop on Wednesday, the event is taking place under the motto "Innovative ways in the use of ICTs to ensure Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Angola.”

The event is based on the First Generation global initiative of the Sweden Foreign Ministry launched in support for the global knowledge on the SDGs.

The SDGs is the "SDGs 2030" Agenda that will lead the global development in the next 15 years, comprising 17 goals and 230 indicators agreed upon by the UN member states in September 2015, including Angola.
