Brasília - Angolan movies and information technology items are on display at the Science and Technology Fair that opened Wednesday in Brasilia (Brazil).

Angola at Brazilia's Science and Technology Fair

Angola is represented at the event by its Embassy in Brasilia where the firm “Angola Cables” made a presentation of its operation of fiber optic connection between Luanda and Fortaleza (Brazil).
The installation of the submarine fiber optic cable known as South Atlantic Cable System (SACS) started in August this year in Luanda, with the connection with America expected complete by 2018.
The fair covers an area of 70,000 square metres with the participation of 70 institutions. At least 100,000 people are expected to visit the event.
The Angolan ambassador to Brazil; Nelson Cosme, attended the event’s opening ceremony presided over by the local minister of Science, Technology, Innovation and Communication, Gilberto Kassab.
