Minister on need to strengthen basic sciences
Luanda - Angolan minister of Higher Education, Science, Technology and Innovation Maria do Rosário Sambo has acknowledged the need to strengthen the teaching of mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology and all that contribute to technological knowledge from basic to higher education.

This was during an opening ceremony of the 3rd Edition of National Competition for the Creation of Digital Games.
The minister said the move is meant to encourages young people to focus on
science and technology.
She said alike the competition, there are platforms with direct responsibility of her Ministry and others conducted with national and international partners.
The objective is strengthening the teaching of basic sciences such as the Child and the Digital World, Yetu Science, Digital with educational content , Microsoft Imagin Cup and Code Time.
The official said that the national science and technology system has also benefited from the creation and catalysis of other platforms to strengthen the scientific and technical component of the education system.
According to her, the national technological center will make available,
from September this year, a space for the promotion of technological set-up.
The intention is to allow many projects incubated, accordingly with the rules set up by intellectual property right.
This will also allow large-scale production, transferring them to society as a whole, in order to keep the ideas of these projects alive.
For this edition, 80 projects were registered, of which 50 were pre-selected by the jury commission.
