Luanda, 06/11 - The women team of Petro de Luanda, senior side, won on Wednesday night the 24th edition of the national handball championship, disputed in Luanda since last October, by beating Grupo Desportivo da Enana (35-28), in the second game of the play-offs.
The game was played at the main Pavilion of Cidadela Desportiva, and was refereed by Francisco Nascimento and Carlos Roberto.
At half time, the oil company-sponsored club were leading the score by 15-12, resultingfrom the good performance of the team.
In the second half, Desportivo da Enana, coached by Beto Ferreira, were unsuccesfully tryingto counteract Petro.
Besides the 11 goals scored at half distance by player Ivone Mufuca, were not enough for Enana to win what would be their first national title.
