Basketball: Eduardo Mingas Wins MVP Award

Luanda, 06/17 - Play maker of Interclub Eduardo Mingas, is once again the highlight of this season, by being the most valuable player (MVP) award of the national men`sbasketall tournament, overcoming the play maker of 1º de Agosto Miguel Lutonda, who was ahead of him by few points in the year 2003 edition.
Mingas was the competition`s best scorer (279 points), he led the rebounds with 145 points, second in steals, with two points less than Carlos Quibato (ASA).
He was also on the second place amongst the best free-throwers with 61 points.
The MVP of the last edition, Miguel Lutonda, this time only recieved an award for the most efficient free-thrower, with a percentage of 82.
He was the best assistant (59 assists), a competition won by Carlos Quibato.
Besides this, he was placed third in the three points shooters.
This election only counted the the regular stage of the competition, in which nine teams played each other amongst two rounds, this way excluding the playoffs.
Carlos Quibato was the best in steals and assistences. Fernando Albano was the best three points shooter and also the most efficient in this contest.
Abdel Boukar was the best in two pointers and Wlademiro Ricardino is the "king" of free-throws.
