Luanda, 08/20 - The former international Angolan basketball player Zezé Assis died last Sunday morning, in Luanda, victim of an illness, an official source has announced.
He was African junior champion in 1980 and between 1980 and 1991 he represented the national team for several times, having been on the same team with other top athletes like Gustavo da Conceiçao, Jean Jacques, Ze Carlos Guimaraes and Boneco.
Zezé Assis was also national champion by Leões de Luanda team (now Sporting de Luanda) in 1982 and 1984, coach of Angola`s junior male national team, as well as assistant coach of the national senior male squad.
