Luanda , 06/20 – The shooting guard of 1º de Agosto club, Olímpio Cipriano was on
Thursday elected as the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the 2008 national championship,
dethroning the player of Petro de Luanda, Carlos Morais, winner of the previous edition.
Besides the main trophy, the 26-year old player also received the prizes of top scorer of the
national tournament and the best two-point shooter.
Cipriano, who did not attend the prize-awarding ceremony, held at the Independence Park, in
Luanda, due to health issues, was represented by his father.
Last year (2007), the player lost the prize due to unjustified non-attendance.
