National junior females' team retains African title

Luanda – The Angolan junior females handball team retained the African title of the category with Wednesday's 29-21 final victory over Tunisia, in a competition played in the city of Abidjan, capital of Côte d'Ivoire.
By halftime, the Angolan squad was already ahead by 15-8. To reach the final, the continental titleholders beat Cameroon on Tuesday by 36-24. Tunisia overcame Congo by 27-26.
On their turn, the national cadet's squad also won on the same day the first edition of the African championship of the category, with a 29-17 victory over Côte d'Ivoire. By halftime, Angola was also ahead by 15-8.
After this result, both national teams are ready to compete in the 2010 World Championship in their respectively categories.
