Luanda - The senior men's roller hockey team of Académica de Luanda (national champions) won Saturday Joao Garcia Super Cup after beating Juventude de Viana (winners of Angola Cup) by 5-2 game at the pavilion of the Cidadela, in Luanda.
Team of students were leading the score in the second minute of the match with a goal scored by captain Nuno Baio.
Claudio Agostinho of Juventude de Viana, with a strong shot equalised in the next minute.
Afterwards Kaka made it 2-1 for Academica de Luanda who went to the interval with lead.
In the second half, with only four minutes of play, the captain of Juventude de Viana, Mingo Bachiesa, made it 2-2.
The defending champions showed greater tranquillity in the offensive and in a short period of time scored two goals through Tiquinho and Quiza, ending the hope of making the team of Viana a twist.
With two minutes left, Jordao Marques made the 5-2 score that ended the match that opens the roller hockey season in the country.
The chairperson of the Angolan Federation of Roller Skating Hockey (FAP), Carlos Alberto Jaime, presented the trophy to the winning side.
