Luena - Petro de Luanda won their 21st national women handball title with 24 points, after beating 1º de Agosto by 28-19, in Luena, eastern Moxico province.
Petro remained unbeaten throughout the 31st edition of the national handball championship held from September 17-26 this year in Luena, with four more points than the second placed, 1º de Agosto.
Ferroviário de Luanda’s Gracinda Neto, with 63 goals, was the best scorer of the competition, while her team failed to win a single game whatsoever.
Luanda, the country’s capital city, has been chosen to host the 32nd edition of the championship.
