Luanda – The Angolan senior women Petro de Luanda team won the African Handball Champions League title after beating in the final Inter do Congo 35-22 in Casablanca, Morocco, on Saturday.
Ahead of the final on Friday, the Angolan team thrashed host Nouasser team by 53-12.
This is the 14th African League title won by Petro de Luanda’s women, whereas their Angolan male counterparts in the competition, Interclube and Kabuscorp do Palanca, remained in the seventh and eleventh positions, respectively.
