Angola and Cape Verde in "Angola Avante" cup finals

Lisbon - The Angolan community football team and its counterpart of Cape Verde will square off on Sunday, at the José Gomes stadium (Reboleira), in the final of the Inter-Community Tournament dubbed "Angola Avante".
To reach the final of the competition commemorating the 36th anniversary of Angola's independence, to be celebrated on November 11, Angola overcame Sao Tome and Principe by 1-0, whilst Cape Verde beat Guinea Bissau by 2-0.
in the other match for the third and last round, Sao Tome and Principe thrashed Mozambique by 11-1.
Apart from the finals' encounter, on Sunday, Sao Tome and Principe and Guinea Bissau will meet in order to decide which team will occupy the third place of the competition.
The "Angola Avante" tournament aims at granting a moment of socialisation and encouraging the practising of sports among the community of Angola and that of African Portuguese Speaking Countries (PALOP) residing in Portugal.
