Luena – Mundunduleno Stadium, in the eastern Moxico Province, is ready to host the games of the National First Division Football Championship (Girabola2012), after benefiting from rehabilitation work, which consisted of painting infrastructures, maintenance of pitch and changing facilities.
Owned by the Pension Scheme of the Angolan Armed Forces, official sponsor of the Bravos do Maquis Club, the stadium has also benefited from replacement of lamps in the VIP grandstand, which will allow better visibility in case of night-time games.
Bravos do Maquis will play at home in the second-round match, against Atlético do Namibe.
In the opening round the Maquis team will face Academica do Soyo.
With the capacity to seat 4.300 spectators, the Mundunduleno stadium of Luena was inaugurated in November 2005.
