Luanda – The Angolan teams of 1º de Agosto and Petro de Luanda were eliminated from the African Football Confederations (CAF)’s competitions, following their defeats last Saturday, in the second-leg matches qualifier for the eighth finals.
1º de Agosto were beat in Tunisia by Esperance of Tunis (0-1), same result of the first-leg encounter for the group stage of the African Champions League, whereas Petro de Luanda lost in South Africa to Super Sport United (0-2), after drawing 0-0 in the first-leg game of the Confederation Cup.
On their turn, Recreativo da Caála got the pass to the last eliminatory stage of the Confederation Cup, after beating on Saturday the Bougouni team of Mali by 2-0, in Bamako.
In the first-leg encounter Rcreativo da Caála thrashed their opponent by 4-0.
Finally, Recreativo do Libolo beat El Merriekh do Sudão by por 2-1, in Khartoum, after winning the first-leg match by the same result.
