Luanda – At least 22 athletes were summoned for the pre-training programme of the Angolan under 16 males baskteball team, ahead of their participation in the African Cup of Nations, set for June in a country to be appointed by FIBA-África.
Led by coach Manuel Silva “Gi”, the Angolan squad will start the court works on Monday.
Check the players summoned: Cristiano Gomes, Sílvio de Sousa, Bruno Fernando, Milton Valente, Aides Goubel (1º de Agosto); Adilson Bernardo, Daniel Manuel Alexandre Jungo, Caleb Ntotila (Vila Clotilde); Cristiano Xavier, Cley Capanga, Valdir Manuel, Avelino Dó
(Petro de Luanda); Dalton Paulo, Teodoro Elário, Adérito de Almeida (Inteclube); Quintino Kambundo and Gerson Mamona (Progresso do Sambizanga).
The teams of Sporting do Bié, Petro do Huambo, Desportivo da Huíla and Sporting de Benguela gave one player each, namely Moisés César, António Silvánio, Sílvio Constantino and Alberto da Costa.
