Luanda - The former Angolan basketball players Jean Jacques da Conceição, seven times African champion, will be distinguished on Wednesday by International Basketball Federation (FIBA), placing thus his name in the Hall of Fame of world basketball, ANGOP has learnt.
Jean Jacques da Conceição was selected by the Hall of Fame, whose goal is to reflect about the history of basketball and its personalities for homage at FIBA’s headquarters, in Mies, surroundings of Geneva, Switzerland.
Jean Jacques, the greatest reference of Angolan basketball so far, is part of a group of 12 people from ten countries - among players, coaches and supporters - that will get a homage in the 2013 edition of the Hall of Fame event.
The main criterion of the choice for the Hall of Fame is the performance at international level and the participation in the development of this sport.
