Huambo - Angolan Mário Calado is likely to take over from Portuguese Ricardo Formosinho as main coach of central Huambo-based Recreativo da Caála football team, following the sacking of the latter over poor results.
This was announced on Tuesday to the press by the club management, which promised to introduce the new coach in the next 48 hours.
With wide experience in the national championship (Girabola), Mario Calado won two national championship titles: 1º de Agosto (1996) and Sagrada Esperança (2005).
Mario Calado, 50, was national team coach between 2000 and 2001.
He also coached Progresso do Sambizanga and Santos FC teams.
With 22 points, Recreativo da Caála currently stand in the ninth position of the national first division championship of football.
