The former Benfica de Luanda team coach said that he will have as assistant coach the former captain of the national football team, André Makanga, thus the pair will be introduced on Tuesday, at 1 pm, at the Epic Sana Hotel, in Luanda.
Romeu Filemon is back in the management of the national senior males football team, after being contracted by the Angolan Football Federation (FAF) in June 2012, having been replaced by the Uruguayan Gustavo Ferrin.
The national football team will skip the prequalification stage of access to the African Cup of Nations (CAN), to be held in January 2015, in Morocco, due to the position they occupy at the ranking of the African Football Confederation (CAF).
Thus, Angola will start in the groups phase, which comprises 28 national teams, made up the 21 best positioned teams in the CAF ranking and seven made eligible from the prequalification stage.
