Uige governor pledges support for União Sport Clube
Uíge - The governor of northern Uíge province, Paulo Pombolo, Saturday here pledged to ensure financial support for the club representing the province to compete without constraints at the country?s national football championship (Girabola).

Paulo Pombolo, who was speaking at the opening of the club’s General Ordinary Assembly, reaffirmed the will of the provincial government to provide financial, moral and material support as a guarantee of the participation of the team in the competition.
According to the government official, in order to be successful in the competition, the club's management must get organised and outline strategies to raise funds to meet the needs and sustain the organisation.
The governor mentioned efforts to qualify another team into the national first division championship as another priority.
“União Sport Clube do Uíge” was founded on 27 February 2011 and rose to Grabola in the 2013 edition, at the head of second division’s group C with 30 points.
