Women Basketball: 1º de Agosto wins Cup

Luanda - 1º de Agosto?s senior women team of basketball won the Angola Cup on Tuesday in Luanda , after defeating Interclub by 62-35 in the final.

By the halftime of the game played in the main hall of the Cidadela sports pavilion, 1º de Agosto was leading the score by 20-17.

In the first game of the final, 1º de Agosto won by 53-39, while Interclube won by 66-64, thus forcing the final re-encounter.

This season, under coach Jaime Covilhão, 1º de Agosto won the provincial and national championships.
