Progresso chairperson points out gains of Mário Santiago Stadium

Luanda - The conclusion of Mario Santiago field in the urban district of Sambizanga will galvanize the Angolan sport and serve in future catalyst revenue for Progresso Associação do Sambizanga, said Friday in Luanda, the club boss.

According to Paixão Júnior, who was speaking to journalists on the sidelines of the field visit,  of the president José Eduardo dos Santos, to that district, the infrastructure will honor the residents of that locality, Rangel, Cazenga and all Angolans. He announced that Mario Santiago will be used as the main field of Progresso Associação do Sambizanga to play games of major competitions such as the Girabola.

Paixão Júnior stressed, on the other hand, the relevance of the Eduardo dos Santos Foundation (FESA), which decided to complete the construction of the stadium, in Sambizanga.

On Friday, the President of the Republic, José Eduardo dos Santos, launched the stone that marks the beginning of the second phase of construction and consequent conclusion of Stadium Mario Santiago.
