Handball: 1º de Agosto win African Clubs Cup title
Luanda - 1º de Agosto won last Sunday in Ouagadogou, Burkina Faso, their third African Champion Clubs Cup title, which is also Angola's 20th consecutive continental title of this category, after beating in the final of this handball competition the ASEL team of the Republic of Congo by 42-25.

Handball: 1º de Agosto ladies bring 20th consecutive African title to Angola

The 1º de Agosto ladies – managed by Filipe Cruz, the same coach that took the national female team to the Rio-2016 Olympics – won their third consecutive African title.
Since the year 1997 only Angolan teams have won this African competition in women’s category.
Angola’s Petro de Luanda female team have the highest number of African Champion Clubs Cup titles, 19 in total, 17 consecutive ones.
Ferroviário team were the first Angolan squad to win this title and that was in 1987.

Lubango - The 1º de Agosto and Petro de Luanda women's teams compete on Tuesday (Jan 29), at 4 pm, at the multi-purpose pavilion of the city of Lubango, southern Huíla Province, for the final of the 39th National Junior Handball Championship, which is happening in both sexes.
