Golf: Angola fail to win "dipanda cup"

Luanda - Angolan Golf team failed to win the tournament dubbed "Dipanda Cup2017, held on 11 and 12 this month in Luanda, ahead of celebrations of 42nd anniversary of national independence.

The Angolans totaled 21 points, three less than their Euro-Asia representatives.

The competition brought together 72 players in "match play" category that involved teams and individuals.

Speaking to the press, António Flor, the captain of the national team, recognised the opponent’s performance, expressing confidence in the next edition.

This is the second edition of the tournament, with the 2016 edition having been won by Asian team.

The event was sponsored by Mangais Golf Club.
