This information was released to ANGOP, on Wednesday night, in Luanda, by the medical emergencies coordinator of the annual competition, João Mulima.

In order to prevent cases requiring medical care, the official advised the people not to join the squad of federated athletes and should be guided by the spirit of recreation because their preparation may have been less rigorous.

The Director of the Sports Medicine Center also said that on the day of the race it is inappropriate to wear uncomfortable clothes, drink alcoholic beverages and eat foods with a lot of fat.

The yearend race "São Silvestre" starts at 5pm on the 31st December. The athletes leave the starting line in Mutamba and finish in the Coqueiro Stadium.
