Handball: 1º de Agosto win African Cup Winners' Cup
Luanda - After winning the super cup, 1º de Agosto's senior women's team won the African Cup Winners' Cup in the city of Agadir (Morocco), defeating FAP of Cameroon in the final by 24-16.

In the first half, 1º de Agosto were already winning the game by 14-8.
1º de Agosto finished the competition undefeated, beating respectively the HC Vaninqueur of the DRC (32-10), Kada of Nigeria (34-15), Nouasser of Morocco (35-6), THBC of Madagascar (39-4) and Cara of the Democratic Congo (28-18).
The military team thus wins the trophy for the third consecutive time.
1º de Agosto won the competition for the first time in 2015 in Libreville, Gabon, beating the African Sport of Abidjan in the final by 36-22. In 2016, they defeated the TKC of Cameroon by 40-16 in a final held in Layoun, also in Morocco.
