This was said to the press at the end of Thursday’s training session by the director of the club, José Barracas.
The sports official said that the team is not able to travel to Luanda on Saturday and play ASA on Sunday in the first leg match of the last 16 of the Angola Cup.
He said that the financial situation is worrying that affects the team in not paying the players’ salaries for three months, which is in some way interfering in the performance of the team that does not win four consecutive rounds in Girabola2017 and with risks of being relegated to the second divisionleague again.
José Barracas admitted that the salary arrears are due to the fact that the official sponsor, SODIAM, ENDIAMA concessionaire, is constantly delaying the transfer of funds to the club accounts.
Despite this scenario, he said that the president of the club, Manuel Quitadica "Docas" is in Luanda to deal with the matter with the sponser, but if there is no favorable response until this Friday, the team will fail to Play ASA on Sunday.
