Soccer: JGM do Huambo quit Girabola

Huambo - The vice-president of JGM Académica Sport Club do Huambo, António Caquinda, announced Friday, the withdrawal of club from the current football season of the National First Division Football Championship (Girabola), five days preceding its end.

The sport official told journalists that the decision was made during a meeting  of the club's board members held this morning, alleging financial constraints.

He informed that the measure is extensive to  the club's participation in Angola Cup.

For this reason, he said, JGM will not play Petro de Luanda on Saturday in a first leg game of the Angola Cup.
