Athletics: Adelaide Machado retains yearend race title

Luanda - The athlete of the Angolan Interclube team, Adelaide Machado, last Sunday won for the second consecutive time the yearend footrace dubbed Saint Sylvester Race, held in Luanda, by timing 36 minutes and 42 second.

The second position of the women's competition was taken by Luciana Viengo (Interclube), with 37 minutesos e 34 seconds, followed by Josefina Gabriel from 1º de Agosto team (38.42 min).

The 10-kiolometre race was disputed by about 1,700 athletes, in the north-western Lunda Province’s capital, Luanda City.
