Yearend Race: 1º de Agosto's athlete wins 62nd edition
Luanda - The athlete of Angola's 1º de Agosto club, Simão Manuel, won last Sunday the 62nd edition of the yearend footrace dubbed Saint Sylvester, by timing 31 minutes and 29 seconds.

The second position was taken by Alexandre João, an athlete of Interclube (Angola) with 31.35 minutes, followed by David Elias (Interclube) with 31.37 minutes.
The 10-kiolometre race was disputed by about 1,700 athletes, in the north-western Lunda Province’s capital, Luanda City.
The winner of the competition, Simão Manuel, will be awarded 5000 US dollars.

Luanda - The qualities of the yearend racers was highlighted on Sunday by the former athlete João Ntiamba, winner of the 1999 and 2000 editions of the dubbed Saint Sylvester Race, the traditional year-end race, held annually on December 31.

Luanda - The athlete of the Angolan Interclube team, Adelaide Machado, last Sunday won for the second consecutive time the yearend footrace dubbed Saint Sylvester Race, held in Luanda, by timing 36 minutes and 42 second.

Luanda - At least 1.700 enlisted athletes among them federated and none federated, 90 health technicians, seven liters of water for each, 65 technicians among nurses, physiotherapists and masseurs, 25 physicians and 10 advanced vital support ambulance cars are the numbers of the 62nd yearend race "São Silvestre ", set for 31 December, in Luanda.
