The national squad had a trip scheduled for Monday, but financial problems dictated its cancellation, said the president of the Angolan Basketball Federation (FAB), Hélder Cruz.

According to the federation official, who spoke during the presentation of squad ceremony, there is a delay in the transfer by the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the funds for the fulfillment of the preparation programme, a situation that refers the group to an alternative plan, which is to hold it in Luanda.

Angola lead group C with six points, followed by Egypt (5), Morocco (4) and DR Congo (3).
