Football: ASA win in second division debut round

Luanda - The Atlético Sport Aviação (ASA) team started in the best way the fight to return to the top division championship, by winning beating the Dragões of Uíge by 2-1, at the 22 de Junho Stadium in Luanda, in the first game of Series A of the second division football championship (Segundona), disputed at the weekend.

After their first relegation in 2017, the ASA had to work hard to overtake the representatives of the northern province of Uíge, who came to the capital on Sunday, to oppose the relative favouritism of the home team, who are eager to return to the first division.

While they were in the top division championship, ASA squad were among the main title contenders for many years.  

Still for the same round, in the 4 de Janeiro Stadium in Uíge Santa Rita de Cássia received and beat the new comers União Recreativo do Cuanza-Norte squad by 2-0.

Santa Rita de Cássia are also committed to returning to the first division championship (Girabola), after the descent of division, also in 2017.

Still for Series A, Mpatu Aponta do Bengo beat Real Mbuco by 2-1.

Sporting do Bié - Bikuku FC /3-2

Jackson Garcia – Ferroviário do Huambo 2-1

Sporting de Benguela - Kafalango do Cunene 0-0
