Multiple sports: Namibe welcomes south zonal school games

Moçamedes - Namibe province is to host as from August 14 -20 the Ministry of Education annually held multiple sports competition dubbed south zonal school games.

This year’s event is to be run under the motto "school sports a commitment with the present and the future of the child, " ANGOP learnt on Wednesday.

The sports event is annually held during the school-break, whose aims is to promote the practice of sport in educational institutions, enabling the identification of talented pupils and the development of the students' socio-cultural and sports exchanges.

It also aims at contributing to the integral development of the student-athlete as a social, autonomous, democratic and participative being, stimulating their full exercise of citizenship and developing sports and socio-cultural activities prioritizing the educational factor.
