School Games should be played in a spirit of solidarity and fair play

Moçamedes - The governor of Namibe, Carlos da Rocha Cruz, said Tuesday in this city that the School Games represent an important step in creating new perspectives for the building of a better world, free of any kind of discrimination and played in the spirit of mutual understanding, fraternity, solidarity and Fair Play.

Speaking at the opening of the first edition of the Zonal South School Games, which runs from 14 to 20 this month, Carlos da Rocha Cruz also said that these games should strengthen sports in the country and in the southern region in particular.

The Games taking place under the motto "School Sport, a commitment to the present and the future of the child," according to the governor, continue to educate young people to spread and reinforce education for citizenship and Olympic ideals.

"Let's encourage school sports, return to school championships and college championships," he said.

To the participants, Carlos da Rocha Cruz appealed to be guided by the patriotic spirit, discipline, solidarity and national unity and to win the best selection in this southern zone.
