Basketball: Family issues take away Cipriano from Tunisia
Luanda - Olympio Cipriano's senior men's national basketball team failed to qualify for the second qualifying round of the World Cup qualifier in China on 14-16 September in Tunisia for family reasons.

The information was advanced Tuesday by the national coach, the American Wiliam Voigh at the end of the last preparation training, held in the Pavilion attached to the Cidadela stadium, in Luanda.
Voigh also dismissed Helmer Felix, Childe Dundão, Ngombo Rogério, Alexandre Jungo, Teótonio Dó, Aldemiro João and Gerson Gonçalves, the latter for injury.
The following players will travel for the training preparation in Spain: Gerson Domingos, Egídio Ventura, Edson Ndoniema, Pedro Bastos Mohamed Cisse, José António, Reggie Moore, Hermenegildo Mbunga, Mutuo Fonseca and Leonel Paulo.
The international Carlos Morais, Yanick Moureira, Leandro Conceição, Júlio Afonso and John Pedro are part of the group already in the Spanish capital.
Olímpio Cipriano (1.92 meters) has been preponderant in the national team 11 times African champion.
He was honored three times at the end of the National Senior Men's Basketball Championship 2017 with the MVP title, best in free throws and best tripple to the service of Recreativo do Libolo.
