Handball: Angola end group stage with defeat
Luanda - The senior men's national team of handball lost Thursday to Egypt by 28-33 in the last match of the World Cup’s group stage (D), happening in Denmark and Germany.

By the end of the first half, the Angolan team were already in disadvantage by 12-19.
The national team will play the consolation phase to dispute positions19 to 24, with the opponents yet to be known.
Angola, who play for the fourth time in a World Cup, beat Qatar (24-23) in their first game, losing in the following matches with Hungary (24-34), Sweden (19-37) and Argentina (26-33), plus last Thursday’s defeat, in the last round.
Despite not guaranteeing the passage to the next phase, the national team managed to avoid the 24th and last position, which was the squad’s result in the 2017 edition of the world championship, held in France.
