Basketball: Women's national team project pre-olympics

Luanda - At least twelve athletes are part of the released list containing the names of the athletes for preparation of the senior women national team of basketball, aiming to attend the tournament that qualifies for the Japan 2020 Olympic Games.

However, right after some controversy regarding their participation or not, in the pre-olympic games, to be held from 14 to 17 of this month, in Mozambique, allegedly because of money reasons, the basketball federation announced last Thursday a list with eight Interclube players and four from 1º de Agosto to be coached by Apolinário Paquete.

Here are the selected players: Italle Lucas, Regina Pequeno, Rosamira Daniel, Felizarda Ventura, Eduarda Gabriel, Jessica Malagi, Joana António, Angelina Golome (Interclube), Fineza Eusébio, Elizabeth Mateus, Juda Quindanda and Avelina Peso (1º de Agosto).

The group gathered on Thursday afternoon at 28 de Fevereiro pavilion.
