Ex-Angolan athlete Quinzinho laid to rest at new Alverca cemetery
Lisbon - The remains of former football player of Futebol Clube do Porto (Portugal) and the Angolan National Team Joaquim Alberto Silva “Quinzinho” was buried Friday at Alverca's cemetery in Lisbon, Portugal.

Angolan diplomats, relatives, friends, colleagues and fans attended a Mass in memory of the diseased athlete, who passed away on April 15, 2019, victim of heart attack.
Reading the funeral eulogy, Amelia Silva, Quinzinho's sister, highlighted the qualities of the late player. With his knowledge and performance Quinzinho represented in best way the country (Angola), she said.
The 45-year-old former Angolan footballer played for various teams including FC Porto, Rio Ave, Estoril Praia, União de Leiria, Desportivo das Aves, Farense, Alverca (Portugal) and Rayo Vallecano (Spain), Recreativo da Cáala and ASA (Angola).
Until his death, Quinzinho, who was a widower, is survived by two children.
