Initially estimated at AKz 103 million (286, 000 Euros), the amount will be re-adjusted to Akz 133.9 million (369,000 Euro), said its president, the Angolan Leonel da Roche Pinto.
He was speaking to the press at the end of an audience granted Monday in Luanda by Minister of Youth and Sports, Ana Paula do Sacramento Neto.
Leonel Pinto explained that the budget review of the competition results from the constant variation of prices of products in the domestic market.
He said that the competition, running from 30 September - 14 October this year, in coastal Benguela province, will oblige the adaptation of sports and hotel facilities to the special conditions of the athletes.
The competition will feature Angola (hosts), Ghana, Nigeria, Liberia, Guinea Bissau, Togo, Sierra Leone, Rwanda, Morocco, Tanzania, Cote d’Ivoire, Cameroon and Kenya.
