World Jiu-jitsu champion gets triumphant welcome
Luanda - Angolan Kiriana Neto, seven-year-old champion of the world championship of jiu-jitsu (Brazilian version) in the children's category, arrived late Wednesday in Luanda, where she was triumphantly welcomed by hundreds of people, friends, sportsmen (fighters), coaches and other citizens.

At Luanda Airport, Kiriane Neto, who was radiant and emotional, said she was satisfied with the achievement and that she always trusted and believed in the possibility of becoming a world champion.
The athlete, who represents the Luneto Power Gym School, recognized the value of the other participants, especially the Brazilian Márcia Mascarenha, her opponent in the final.
Américo dos Santos, coach of Kiriane Neto, said that he always relied on the qualities and skills of the athlete, taking into account her dedication and interest in the sport.
She said that she was not the champion, but also the other Angolan athletes of the sport, because there is a great talent in the training levels, appealing to the entities interested in sponsoring these fighters that can bring many joys to Angolans.
This was her first participation in a world championship of the sport, having won the African championship on 3 March 2019 in South Africa.
In addition to Kiriana, Angola has already won the world championship in jiu-jitsu, Brazilian version, by athletes Walter Lobão, Catarina Araújo (2016), Érick Rocha, Victor Santos, Omar Sousa (2014) and Walter Faustino in 2012.
