Chess: Eduardo Pascoal wins National Championship
Sumbe - Eduardo Pascoal, from 1º de Agosto team, is the new National Individual Absolute Champion of Chess, by winning the championship held in the city of Sumbe, southern Cuanza Sul province, from 25 to 31 May.

In the third place, Silva David, from the Ditrov School in Luanda, scored seven points, followed by Amorim Agnelo, 1º de Agosto, with 6.5 points, and Adérito Pedro, also from 1º de Agosto, with 5, 5 points.
In the women's class, Esperança Caxita, from Progresso do Sambizanga, revalidated the trophy with 7.5 points, after winning in the last match Valquíria Rocha from 1º de Agosto.
Hope Caxita won six times and drew three.
In second place was Luzia Pires, 1º de Agosto, 3rd Irineia Gabriel, also 1º de Agosto, followed by Delfina João, from Progresso do Sambizanga, and Ednazia Junior, from Macovi Sport Club of Luanda.
The next National Chess Championship will take place in Luanda province in May 2020.
The championship counted on 34 players in masculine and 16 in feminine modalities.
