The match had been slated for this Wednesday as part of Angola’s preparation games ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations (CAN) to take place in Cairo, Egypt, from June 21 to July 19.

The game was called off at the request of the Angolan team’s head coach, Srdjan Vasiljevic, who preferred to protect the players from possible injuries, since they did not perform specific training, due to the lack of field.

The Angolan Football Federation (FAF) failed to rent a football field for the national team to train, since the country hosting the Africa Cup of Nations just makes it available five days before the competition kicks off, before that period any eventual costs are not of responsibility of the competition organizers.
