Handball: African Champions in Group A of Japan World Cup
Luanda - The national senior women's team of handball, champions of Africa, is in Group A of the World Championship, to be held in Japan from 30 November to 15 December this year.

The draw brought the Angolans in the same group to the Netherlands, Norway (three-time world champions), Serbia, Slovenia and Cuba in a competition in which they aim to improve the 19th position of the last edition held in Germany.
Before the world championship, the seven national, led by the Danish Morten Soubak, will play the African games (Morocco) next August.
The best Angolan performance in the world cup was in 2007, in France, where they got seventh position.
Angola will compete in a world championship for the 14th time after their debut in 1990 in South Korea. They add 26 wins, 3 draws and 64 defeats in 93 matches.
