CAN2019: Angolan referees debut in the competition
Luanda - Angolan referees Hélder Martins (main) and Jerson Emiliano (assistant) will debut Wednesday at the African Cup of Nations in football (CAN2019) in Egypt, in the match between Nigeria and Guinea Conakry, to be held place in Alexandria stadium, for the second round of Group B.

Mozambican Arsenio Marengula is the second assistant, while Beida Dahane of Mauritania was named fourth.
It will be the second CAN in the senior category of the Angolan referees, after having been in the 2010 and 2017 editions, in a journey that has already taken them to several international stages, among African and world events.
Jerson Emiliano was in CAN2017, Gabon, where he was considered the best assistant, and at the 2014 World Cup in Russia, while Helder Matins whistled at the U17 African Championships in Algeria2009, Rwanda2011 and Niger 2015, in addition to the under-20 competition in Zambia in 2017.
Angola is also present in CAN2019 with the national team, who in their debut drew with Tunisia (1-1) in the game of group E.
