CAN2019: President congratulates national team

Luanda -The Angolan President, João Lourenço, congratulated on Monday the national team after the squad drew 1-1 with Tunisia in debut game of group E of Africa Cup of Nations (CAN2019) taking place in Egypt.

“Congratulations Palancas (Sable Antelopes) we were better in the pitch”, writes the Head of State in his tweet, after adding that he trusts that the national team will continue with good performance.

Angola senior men’s football team drew 1-1 with Tunisia in the opening match of group E of the African nations championship.

Angola and Tunisia are second and third placed in a group led by Mali, who thrashed Mauritius 4-1 and took up the lead of group E.

Angola will face Mauritius on Saturday.
