Golf: First National gathers 72 athletes

Luanda - At least seventy-two athletes participate in the first ever National Championship of golf, to be played on the 16th and 17th September, in Mangais course, located in Barra do Cuanza, Belas district, Luanda.

This is the first event organized by the Angolan Federation of Sports, elected in 2018, but until then golf in the country was run by an Installing Commission, while competitions organized by the Luanda Golf Club, usually at Morro dos Veados, in Benfica District.

The competition will bring together the champions of the national tournaments of the various categories, namely, 1st, 2nd and 3rd.

The race will be played in three laps. On Monday there will be two stages in which the 36 best players qualify for Tuesday's final.

Currently, the country has 123 golfers. It has three fields, namely, Morro dos Veados (Benfica), Mangais in (Barra do Cuanza) and Cabinda Field.
